The AI checks how many words you correctly read aloud. You lose marks for skipping words, adding words, replacing words, or stopping early.
2. Oral Fluency (0-5 scale)
Measures how natural and smooth your speech sounds. The AI checks rhythm, phrasing, hesitations (pauses longer than 3 seconds are heavily penalized), and repetitions.
3. Pronunciation (0-5 scale)

- Quick scan (5 sec): Read the entire text quickly to understand the topic.

- Start immediately when the microphone opens. A 2-3 second delay costs fluency points.
- Speak at a moderate, steady pace. About 130-150 words per minute is ideal.
- Read in chunks, not word by word. "The government / has decided / to implement / new policies" is far better than word-by-word reading.
- Never go back to correct yourself. Self-correction is counted as hesitation.
- Use rising and falling intonation. Rise slightly at commas, fall at periods.
- Breathe at natural pause points. Take quick breaths at commas and between phrases.
